My niece was in town for a few weeks, and conference is now over, so I wanted to take advantage of spending some time doing something fun with her! We decided to we wanted to do something crafty.
We got these straws from Panara Bread (in our smoothies) and decided they were too pretty to throw away! SO we decided to make necklaces with them! Taiyah made a deal with me – I make HER necklace, and she would make mine. Deal.
I cut the straws into different sized pieces and we used some of the bakers twine that I have as the ‘chain’ – you could use anything really. I was going to use some yarn, but the color I had available didn’t suit the straw color as well.
I decided to make mins a bit more “fancy” and tied a knot at the top of each of the straws, causing them to hang down – such a contemporary little straw necklace!!
Such an easy little craft for kids, but it was very fun and nice to have a little bit of quality time with Tink before she heads home to her momma.
